Why do I like writing Poetry? [Short Post]

The poet in me pops up sometimes, writing words that needs to be told to the world.

by Jey Geethan

This is going to be short story. So you can bear with me.

My Poems

You can read my poems here at Summer Rain. I also post some of my poems at my instagram profile. You can check them out here: Instagram Profile.

Why Do I Write Them?

I have been writing poems mostly from the early 2000s. I have published only a few of them on my blog and website, but most of them goes into personal journal, tucked away neatly under my bed. Looking back, I have written many many poems and they are all locked without getting any public eye on them. I might have to think through this and start publishing them one by one.

Thinking about my already written poems, I write these lines of verse because

  • Penning down my Thoughts in my Head
    • Thoughts could be emotions, logic, anything that is in my mind.
  • Giving words and form to the feelings that are in my Heart
  • For my readers!
    • For them to understand what's running through my veins and blood, to understand how my heart beats, to understand what makes my mind tickle, ultimately to connect with me, me to connect with them!

To sum it up, I want to connect with YOU through my poems!

Much love, J.
